This past week, D and R attended their Cub Scout Pack meeting. The Webelos 2 den conducted the flag ceremony (as their was one boy who had not had the opportunity to participate in one before) and R carried the Pack flag.
Over the holidays, R finally completed the last required pin for the Webelos rank (fitness.) He also wrapped up a few more so that he has one compass point as well. With just under a month until he moves up into Boy Scouts, he has a lot of work to do if he wants a ‘heavy shoulder’ like P had.
After visiting a different Boy Scout Troop with his current den mates, R has decided that he’ll move up into the Troop with P. Good thing as I don’t want to be driving all over the Anchorage area to get the boys to Scouts. Now I just need to migrate D over to a closer Cub Scout pack in the fall. (He’s not sure about that, though, as he likes the boys in his den.)
D has been making progress towards his Wolf badge as well. Thankfully, he has a bit more time before he has to finish it all as the Pack does a crossing over/ advancement ceremony for other ranks.
