I already shared about the Grinch. But, we’ve also got the Original Christmas Classics Collection that features Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town with the ‘bonus’ add ons of The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty Returns and Crickett in the Hearth. So far, D has put on Rudolph from this group. If Mr. O had not been on the couch for our TV viewing fest yesterday, we might have watched a few others.
Other ones we typically watch at least once during the Christmas season include The Santa Clause & The Santa Clause 2. We weren’t impressed enough with The Santa Clause 3 to spend money on it. Elf with Will Ferrell is a fun one that we DID watch yesterday afternoon while trying to recuperate from the tummy bug.
From the Veggie Tales line, we own both The Star of Christmas and The Toy that Saved Christmas. We borrowed Saint Nicholas from the library earlier this year (and it’s now available as an instant streaming option on Netflix.)
The one DVD that’s seen the most action, though, is Disney’s Very Merry Christmas Sing Along Songs. It’s a compilation of music videos which works well for my music and dancing lovin’ little guy.
We own a few others, but they don’t get as much love from the boys. And, if the urge to purge really takes hold, they just might be making an exit from the house.
Tomorrow I’ll share from ones that are more loved by adults (and some kids.)
If you’re up for leaving a comment, share about which kid friendly holiday shows your family enjoys watching.
