Something that is coming to top of mind for me is how much our culture values busy-ness.
If you aren’t running a thousand miles an hour, then you just aren’t doing enough!
At least that’s the lie I sometimes ‘hear’ out there.
After a week of little sleep (travel, conference and then 2 night audit shifts immediately after), I am feeling the effects. Tonight I hop a flight to head back up to Alaska. While we have a lot to get done (e.g. moving things from storage to a new rental), I am looking forward to no night shifts and more rest time for the next few weeks.
