The BIG Game is coming! Are YOU ready for it? If you are hosting a get together at your place for the event, then you’ll definitely enjoy checking out some of the great Super Bowl recipes I found perfect for a party of any size.
I know that my guys are looking forward to hours of feasting while watching the game and commercials. (Yes, this marketing degreed gal LOVES to watch the commercials!!)
Great Game Day Recipes for a Party
Spicy Pretzel Coated Chicken Bites at Saving Said Simply. These would make a great substitution for wings and the bonus is NO bones for the garbage!
CROCK POT BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP at Mom 4 Real. My guys love a good queso, but this might be something different to liven up the buffet this year.
Loaded Potato Skins at Tastes Better From Scratch. I love potato skins, but will admit that I’ve never made them from scratch. I’m thinking these would be easy and I could freeze up leftovers for future snacking opportunities.
SNICKERS Pretzel Snack at Upstate Ramblings. This is something that blends the salty and sweet with ease for snacking.
Spicy Pull Apart Bread at A Mom’s Take. This is another item that makes for easy snacking and could help fill up super hungry bellies without the expense of meat.
Low Fat Ranch Dip at Healthy Seasonal Recipes. I like to have at least ONE thing on the table which is most definitely healthy. Fresh vegetables fit that bill and this dip would work for those who need something on their carrot or celery sticks to eat them.
Copycat Wendy’s Chili at Mom Foodies at Bloomi. Chili is a great item for serving over Frito Lay chips, on top of a hot dog, or in a bowl with toppings available for doctoring it up. This recipe is quick to pull together, too.
Slow Cooker Grape Jelly and BBQ Sauce Meatballs at Sweet Pennies from Heaven. My family loves their meat and this dish makes it easy to fill that void and keep everything warm during the party.
Cajun Snack Mix at Penney Lane Kitchen. Another great item for snacking and filling up those growing teenaged boys with carbs!
Cheesy Jalapeno Poppers at Modern Housewife. My husband LOVES poppers and I think these look better than the frozen appetizers!
Fried Macaroni and Cheese Bites at Thrifty Jinxy. My boys have tried these at restaurants in the past, but we haven’t tried making our own. I think we’ll be giving it a go with a little more doctoring. If we do, I’ll definitely share the final recipe we used here.
And here are a few recipes from our home which very well might be made again this year!
Swedish meatballs are a favorite of many. This recipe was derived from several others I found, mixing and matching for a finished product that gets thumbs up from everyone who has eaten it.
Stuffed Crust Pizza using our favorite Garlic Herb Pizza Crust. Who doesn’t love pizza? Last year we had friends over and I made this one to go with the buffalo wings. BIG hit with my family and the other boys who joined us.
Another combination that works really well for a game viewing party is Cheeseburger Pizza.
Sloppy Joes make for a great option as you can keep them warm in the Crockpot. Worried about running out of meat too quickly? Use slider buns for serving. That way everyone gets some and no one ends up tossing half of a sloppy joe when they took too much of all the good food.
What types of food does your family enjoy eating when ‘tailgating’ at home or on the go?
