I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Our family is planning to start back to a full school schedule come Monday, August 17th. So, I’ve started pulling out the needed resources and putting everything together. I purchased Homeschool Tracker Plus a few years ago, so I’ve begun putting the Catholic Heritage Curricula lesson plans into it for the boys. Most of the non-CHC materials we use have lesson plans on the HST Yahoo Groups which saves me some typing time as well. If you haven’t seen this product, you can preview the features on the Homeschool Tracker website. They do have a free version available (which I used for 6 months before upgrading) and unlike some software companies all updates are free to owners of HST+. I’m applying for affiliate status with Homeschool Tracker, so if you decide to purchase and want to help our family’s homeschool efforts drop me a note.

A few of my favorite homeschool companies are having sales right now and I thought I’d share the information. Notebooking Pages is doing a 50% off sale this week only (then it goes to 35% off for the rest of August.) The last time they ran this kind of sale I purchased the complete set of notebooking pages on a custom CD. The CD option cost an extra $10, but I liked having the permanent copy and it’s set up so nicely for finding what you want. CHC’s social studies for 4th grade is basically a tour of the US and R will be using the state notebooking pages from this CD to do this study. One thing that is an added bonus for this current sale (that makes me a bit remorseful for purchasing it back in May) is a special ebook bonus set for anyone purchasing the complete collection. More information about this package is on the Notebooking Pages website. For anyone strapped for cash, take a look at her free items ~ we’ve been using her spelling test pages for years and love them.
