I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I’ve been negligent about posting for the Fit Mommy meme. In part, it is because I have not been diligent to get it all done.
BUT, this week I have been better. Well, at least in the physical activity realm. Wii Fit and I spent a few days together. Then, last night while R was at his den meeting, I got on the treadmill.for 30 minutes at a good clip. My heart rate was UP, which is a good thing.
So far as eating goes, I will admit to having daily chocolate. I just restocked the M&M supply as Target has the Valentine’s Day candy at 50% off. But, while there is now an abundance of chocolate, I am doing my best to keep my daily dose down.
My weight continues to bounce between the 168 and 169 mark. While it isn’t really going down, at least I’m holding still for the moment. I think it might be a new plateau which will need a boost from me to get things moving. I am so close to where I was before getting pregnant with R (164) that I want to make it there soon. The Wii Fit tells me I should be just under 140 for my height and age. Even though it is a fine goal, I am more inclined to get down to the 150s and call it a day.
What I am missing in my routine is more weight training. From experience, I know that building up the muscle helps me in the long run. So, along with the push to have good water consumption, a good balance of healthy food, and some physical activity, I am looking at broadening what I do for that physical activity. I recently read that holding a push-up position may do more for your abs than crunches. Since crunches and I are having a hard time working, I plan to test that theory and see what results I might get.
