Here is is, late on a Friday and I thought I’d do a quick report.
On the days the boys had karate, I nudged myself to exercise. And, I’ve pushed to go beyond an easy pace on the treadmill or the weights.
But, the days when I haven’t been near gym equipment have me NOT getting the desired exercise. Maybe I should be trying that Wimps Series: Pilates for Wimps DVD from the library at the moment. Instead, I’m typing and eating a not so great apple. Better than gorging on chocolate, though.
With the temps cooling down a bit, I’ve found it easier to drink more. Lots of tea is being made (with a little agave added to sweeten it a bit.)
Except for the boys’ chosen dinner out at Sicily’s ‘all you can stuff in your face’ buffet, eating has been going well, too. Unfortunately, just being in the room with all those carbs seemed to nudge the scale up a few pounds. I even ate a BIG salad and generous helping of fruit to minimize the amount of junk carbs that passed my lips. Their soft serve ice cream was also skipped (took one bite of D’s and decided it was NOT how I wanted to consume calories.)
All this being said, I’m holding my ground on the bit of weight loss I’ve achieved. There just isn’t anything exciting to announce about more losses. I just might need to schedule in more activity for ME if I want it to actually happen.
