It has been a cool, wet summer here in the Anchorage area. We suspect the lack of sunshine has contributed to the lack of growth in the garden.
But, we are seeing some rewards from the garden.
The romaine lettuce is producing enough that we should get a few good salads for the family.
Peas and green beans are finally setting blossoms.
Carrot tops are seen amidst fast growing weeds (that I pull out at least once a week.)
And, we’ve harvested a small bit of broccoli from the plants D helped plant a few months back.
J decided the broccoli looked interesting. So, he grabbed a stalk and started munching….
Don’t you just love vegetables fresh from the garden?
