Note ~ This post of how to find the perfect dress for parties and beyond is sponsored by Dress First. All opinions are still 100% my own.
Most of the stores I frequent for clothing offer mostly casual options. And, that’s okay for me as most of my life tends to be in casual dress. However, when it is time to get all dressed up for a special occasion, I am often at a loss as to where to turn. Recently, I discovered a website that just might be a solution for me and anyone else needing to find the perfect dress for parties and beyond ~ Dress First.
About Dress First to Help Find the Perfect Dress
DressFirst.com is an online site selling dresses for every special occasion. You’ll find wedding dresses, prom dresses, evening dresses, holiday dresses, and homecoming dresses on the site. They also offer a wide variety of accessories (including shoes!) This is an awesome one stop shop for those special occasions with no need to drive around to all the stores looking for that perfect dress in your size.
All of their dresses are hand-sewn and customized with the finished dress or gown varying by up to 1 inch in either direction from your provided measurements. Given this potential variation, they include a little extra fabric so that you can have the dress altered to fit perfectly by a local tailor. I sure wish some of the off the rack garments I’ve purchased over the years had that fudge factor as there were times when I needed just a small adjustment to make it fit well.
Using Dress First to Help Find the Perfect Dress for Parties and Beyond
Dress First has everything divided by the type of occasion / dress you need. As I am beyond the prom years and do not anticipate needing another wedding dress in my lifetime, the categories that catch my eye are the cocktail dresses and evening dresses. I was also thrilled to see a selection of wraps available as life in Alaska means potential for either super warm or slightly chilly indoor spots for special events.
One event that we have attended in past years which requires nicer dress is with the Knights of Columbus. I have several months before the next one, but am already putting on my thinking cap for what would look fantastic and not break the budget.
I’m especially thinking about getting a wrap to go with the dress to help with temperature control.
