I have to admit that my first thought when this particular title landed at the house was that I am so NOT the target audience. Well, unless by young at heart they meant a 40 something mother of four boys with her head still thinking she’s 20-something.
Even though this particular title is not where I currently am, I found the short stories within it that I read to be entertaining and give me hope to maybe feel like I’m finally 40-something when my biological clock says I’m 60-something. After all, age is a state of mind.
Some of my favorite short stories from this title..
- Mommy-Come-Lately (which I can relate to as I turned 40 right before J was born.)
- A Room of One’s Own (which had me thinking about my parents.)
- The Cell Phone (another one that made me think of my parents who both have iPhones while I don’t.)
- Old Woman in the Mirror
