One of the highlights of my memories from 1995 is taking my boys to see Toy Story at the movie theater. This movie was the first feature-length film animated entirely by computer, yet amazed and touched so many. By the time Toy Story 3 came around, our family was all in on the experience of joining Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the cast on the journey. Some of us may get a little teary-eyed when watching that particular film.
Ways To Bring Excitement of Toy Story Home
The much anticipated Toy Story 4 has hit theaters nationwide and we are planning to catch it soon. But, you don’t just have to see the movie and call it a day. Rather, you can bring the excitement of the movie series to your home.
Watch the Previous Toy Story Movies
The first is simple. If it has been a while since you watched the first 3 films, then have a movie marathon.
If you don’t already have the previous films in your collection, pick up copies today. Best Buy has gorgeous Toy Story Steelbook editions available now.
Engage in Creative Play
This is something my boys have always loved to do. We have both Buzz and Woody in the house. Pull strings on these older toys let them say key phrases from the first film.
The new toys available for the release of Toy Story 4 can help you also bring creative storytelling and play into the home. Like this Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Armor which allows them to BE a space ranger like Buzz.
View the Toy Story 4 Trailer as a Family
If you haven’t already seen it, check out this trailer for Toy Story 4. Then chat with your family members about what they think may happen. Do this before seeing the film and see who guessed aspects of the plot correctly.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Preorder Toy Story 4
Rather than wait for the release date and miss getting one of the limited edition Steelbook from Best Buy, you can preorder your copy now.
