Right now life is still in flux. We are house hunting up here in Alaska, but uncertain if we can find something that suits our family AND is in our price range. Until we get settled into a permanent home, the feeling of being uprooted will persist.
However, there are many things to be thankful for in our lives.
We are thankful that Stephen has a good paying job.
We are thankful to have a roof over our heads and that the temporary housing keeps us warm as we look out at the cold, snowy environment.
We are thankful for full bellies and the ability to have some food in the house when others do not know what their next meal will be.
We are thankful for good health, even if there are annoyances such as sore backs. While I am not personally comfortable today, I am able to get up and move about to help relieve the soreness and keep from getting stiff.
We are grateful for the friends God has sent into our lives. Knowing that we have friends across the country, we are confident that new friends will be made in our new home.
Finally, we are grateful for family members that love and support us, even if our choices make no sense to them at the time.
The list could go on and on if I spent enough time. So, what are YOU thankful for today??
