I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This post is a Fashionista Event. I was given a promotional item to review by 9thandElm.com to share my opinions about the website. All opinions are my own.
While I do not always consider who is actually ‘producing’ a particular product I buy, I do have a preference to support the artisan directly. 9thandElm.com is a website that allows you to do just that and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review their service and a few of their participating companies.
9thandElm.com was founded by Clay and Elly Bethune in the spring of 2013 with a mission to bring it’s members fabulous fashion from the best handmade and independent designers. We realize it is extremely difficult to sort through and discover handmade fashion geared towards the “fashionista”. Search no longer. Exclusive deals handpicked by our buyers will be delivered daily to our users inbox. This site is a multiple designer site.

My Experience with 9thandElm.com
When you visit the website, you might find yourself faced with my dilemna…there are so many interesting products that a girl can start wanting several items that are available. Something unique about 9thandElm.com compared to most mass merchandisers is that there are expiration dates for the offers, although I have noticed some vendors recycling through for subsequent rounds of availability.
Armed with my gift code, I went looking to see what I would love that was in my size. I spied a few dresses that were cute, but not something that would either fit me or my lifestyle. There are a lot of great jewelry items, but I am rather barebones when it comes to adorning myself beyond clothes.
However, my eye was naturally drawn to one vendor in particular, Cozy Orange. Why? I love yoga and they offer some unique pieces I had not seen in storefronts up here. The 2 items I purchased through them for this review are the Aries Ragland Eco Top and the Cozy Yoga Tote. The third item, Coral Chevron Turban, came from a different designer and seemed like a perfect fit to round off my yoga inspired shopping spree.
The Aries Ragland Eco Top ($40) is unique as the fabric not only conforms to your body, but it has built in ventilation down the back. For anyone who’s done an intense yoga session, the need to cool down without stripping or starting off cold is there. I’ve had a few sessions that left me dripping in sweat as if I’d run a few miles. This top will be perfect for keeping me cool while doing my poses, yet let me start off warm with the long sleeves. I have to admit that the size (Large) I ordered might be just a tad big on me. However, I run larger on the bottom and was afraid a medium would be too tight. Below you can see the detailing for the back side of the top.
The Cozy Yoga Tote ($26) is a fantastic bag for bringing basic supplies with you to a yoga studio. The mat is held in an outside compartment which snaps onto the bag. Inside the main compartment, you have enough room to hold 2 blocks, a towel, and strap with no problem. You might even be able to fit in a change of clothes if packed correctly.
The one downside I found to my shopping experience was the lack of sizing for the clothes. I supposed I could have emailed the particular vendor to ask, but instead went on the assumption that things might run on the small side. Otherwise, I had a great experience. A missing product was quickly rectified by 9thandElm.com and arrived here quickly. Plus, I love that they have a flat rate shipping of $9 available.
