Today I am grateful for a husband who’s up and seeking the part needed to fix our furnace.
He realized sometime a little after midnight that the heat wasn’t working. He got it to manually work for a bit, but by 4 a.m. he knew what part was needed to make it work. (Same part he replaced last winter and just noticed a note on the furnace that it is done annually.)
As I type, he’s down in Anchorage scouting Lowe’s and Home Depot for the part. Once it’s in, the heat should start pumping through the house again. But, in the meantime I’m also thankful that it is only –1 out and not the –40 or so like up near Fairbanks. (Of course, there’s no natural gas option in Fairbanks, so we’d be heating with wood anyways.)
What are YOU grateful for today?
If you blog and are interested, Brenda at Garden of Learning is hosting this challenge for the month of November. No need to participate daily, either. My goal is to post pretty much daily like last year. Yet, I know that sometimes life intervenes.
