Today I am grateful for a dentist with newer technology.
A few months back, I was treated for periodontal disease at my dentist’s office with deep cleaning and use of a laser to kill the bad bacteria and help remove the ‘bad’ tissue. I just went for my first follow up cleaning and had about two-thirds of the pockets that were problematic returning to a healthier state. Now we just have to get the other third to follow suit.
Why would I celebrate this at all? Well, because traditional treatment would have them cutting down the gums and the method my dentist used is far less evasive.
Now I have an electric toothbrush and waterpick on my list for Santa. Good oral hygiene is important to me!
What are YOU grateful for today?
If you blog and are interested, Brenda at Garden of Learning is hosting this challenge for the month of November. No need to participate daily, either. My goal is to post pretty much daily like last year. Yet, I know that sometimes life intervenes.
