Today I am grateful for all the adults who are active in Scouting.
While we’ve had some issues in our journey with Scouting, our family has truly benefited from being part of the organization.
Scouting would NOT be the great organization that it is without all the adults who volunteer their time. This was truly apparent this past weekend when P and R went on a merit badge lock-in with their Boy Scout Troop. Not only were there adult leaders, but many adults who are merit badge counselors gave up part of their weekend to come work with the boys.
Both Mr. O and I have volunteered our time over the years as well. And, I know that we’ll continue to do so. But, there is no way it would be the same without all the other adults doing the same.
What are YOU grateful for today?
If you blog and are interested, Brenda at Garden of Learning is hosting this challenge for the month of November. No need to participate daily, either. My goal is to post pretty much daily like last year. Yet, I know that sometimes life intervenes.
