Today I am thankful for music!
Listening to a good tune can be pleasurable and uplifting for the spirit.
Singing along can amplify those feelings.
Playing the tune as well is wonderful blessing.
I am so looking forward to utilizing the digital piano for my ‘fix’ of carols this holiday season. I am thankful that my parents sent me for piano lessons when I was younger so that I can play now.
This morning, I will sing along with others in the congregation as we both praise God and reflect upon our faith. (The church we normally attend is usually pretty good about the music fitting the liturgy, something that does NOT happen everywhere.)
At home today, I will most likely have some time where I’ll be found singing and dancing with Little J…my little music lovin’ boy.
For those reading this post, feel free to comment with a favorite piece of music.
To satiate curious minds, I’ll just say that my musical tastes can best be summed up as including most all types of music except most heavy metal and rap. Classical music is starting to appear more in our house as I search for a way to have all the boys learning in harmony with each other. Yet, J keeps insisting on The Wiggles providing entertainment at least part of the day. We are slowing getting him to accept other artists, such as Veggie Tales, the Beatles and Queen.
How’s that for an eclectic mix ?!
