Right now, it is cold outside. But the sun is shining which reflects all the snow on the ground. I do not like being cold. But, I do love seeing nature in all its splendor.
Why do I mention this?
Because, I believe that being in and connecting with nature is so important to a healthy lifestyle.

I must have food on my brain as the two posts I picked to feature are both recipes. One for something warm to eat and another that is chilled.
Life in a northern climate like Alaska, which we currently call home, means lots of cold weather in the winter. I am always looking for warming soups and stews. Hence, the appeal of Un-Stuffed Cabbage Roll at EffiFit to me.
Breakfast is so important to get your metabolism moving. I’ve even heard that dessert early in the day is better than at night. That’s in part why 3-Ingredient Apple Crisp Breakfast Parfaits post at The Wholesome Fork called to me. Plus, I adore a good parfait!
