Does your family enjoy watching movies? Mine definitely does.
What I like to do at times is incorporate learning with the viewing of a movie.
That is exactly what the Homeschool Movie Club wants to happen as well. And, this month they are featuring and promoting the new film, A Dog’s Purpose. Specifically, there is a Homeschool Movie Day quickly approaching on Friday, January 27, 2017.
This post is part of a social media campaign for A Dog’s Purpose. Any opinions are my own.
About A Dog’s Purpose & Homeschool Movie Day
There is just something about a dog. They can bring joy to our lives, even when they act in what some would call mischievious behavior. A dog can also be a fierce protector of the family.
Based on the beloved bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, A DOG’S PURPOSE shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog who finds the purpose of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.
Homeschool Movie Day is at time when homeschool families can head to the theater and enjoy a new family friendly film in the early afternoon. On Friday, January 27, 2017, A Dog’s Purpose will be screened at Noon for the event. Anyone who attends and snaps a photo to share on Facebook, tagging Homeschool Movie Club, has a chance to win prizes, too.
Learning Adventures with A Dog’s Purpose & Homeschool Movie Club
Many a homeschool parent knows that finding alternative ways to learn concepts is often desirable. After all, we don’t want to just recreate the classroom setting!
Learning through movies is one such avenue that we can take.
A Dog’s Purpose is the latest film which has FREE curriculum available to help homeschool parents extend the movie beyond just entertainment.

As I shared, my boys love a good movie. And, this homeschool mama loves to take it a little deeper when we can. Adding a little fun into our days is a definite bonus.
So, we plan to be at the local movie theater on Friday, January 27th for the Noon showing of A Dog’s Purpose. Before that time, I’m walking through the curriculum with my youngest son.
