Make Homemade Strawberry Syrup for Flavorful Delights
When I think of Valentine’s Day, there are certain foods that pop to mind. Chocolate is one. And, strawberries are the other. What better way to celebrate that day (or any other) than with homemade strawberry syrup made in about 10 minutes that can be used on top of a variety of items?
For Valentine’s Day, you could use the homemade strawberry syrup atop of pancakes in the morning.
Dessert options are plentiful. It goes wonderfully as a topping for ice cream or on cheesecake.
Making Homemade Strawberry Syrup
The process for making homemade strawberry syrup is easy.
Gather your ingredients (chopping the strawberries if they are fresh from the store.)
Add them to a saucepan.
Simmer over low heat.
After about 10 minutes, or when it is getting frothy, your syrup is done and ready to be enjoyed.
It doesn’t get much easier than that!

Create Flavorful Strawberry Topped Brownies
Aside from on top of pancakes, I really enjoy having some of the homemade strawberry syrup poured over rich chocolate brownies. Either a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream makes it complete.
How would you use this homemade strawberry syrup?

Oh yum! This Homemade Strawberry Syrup looks so delicious and really makes this dessert pop! So easy to make and I will have to make it for Valentine’s Day. Thanks for sharing.
That looks SO good! I always used to order my ice cream sundaes with strawberry syrup on them when I was a kid. My cousins thought I was weird as they all ate their hot fudge sundaes. I just love strawberry syrup on vanilla ice cream!
This looks so good!!!I I never thought to make my own syrup like this, seems so good.
I shied away from making my own for the longest time. It was SO easy I wonder why I waited so long.
I’ve never tried to make strawberry sauce before, but wow, this looks so easy! I’m definitely making it for our next waffle bar.
Lisa,
It is super easy. Just adjust for how much sugar you want to add based on how sweet you want it.
That sounds so good! I love strawberries in just about anything!
Same here! Strawberries are a favorite fruit of mine.
