Where has the time gone? Every year I have great plans for Advent to really grow in relationship with Christ during this period of waiting. And, every year I find that I miss doing much of what I planned.
Good thing God doesn’t measure us by our ‘failures’!
This year I’ve decided to share a few posts from the previous week’s link up. I’m going to share the most visited post and a personal favorite (or two.)
The most visited post spot was tied (again) this week.
How’s YOUR Advent Going? Hearts – Before – Calendars Reflection & Encouragement on Gaudete Sunday at Campfires and Cleats really got me thinking about how I often let the calendar lead rather than making sure there’s plenty of time for relationships to bloom in our family.
City Sidewalks…. at A House Upon the Rock had me appreciating our current Alaskan location. We are outside of the city enough to feel a little ‘rural’, but close enough to get places in short order.
Beauty in the Silence at Children of the Church had me thinking about how I have let the hustle and bustle take hold. What I can sense my soul really needs is more quiet time with the Lord, either in Perpetual Adoration at our parish or even just sitting in silence with just the Christmas tree lights to illuminate the space around me.
How are your Advent plans going?
Are you excited for Christmas to arrive in just a few short days?
Join the 40 Days of Seeking Him Week Four Link Up
If joining us on the 40 Days of Seeking Him meme, please link directly to your post. Every week we will link up and share what we are doing, learning or how we celebrate the birth of our Lord. You are more than welcome to link up to more than one post each week if you’ve written multiple posts on the topic of Advent and growing closer to Christ.
