Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and I want to do a little crafting with J this year. He adores when we ‘draw’ and color together and now that he’s 5 I am feeling brave enough to add things like glue to our supplies. Deciding what to make can be a challenge, so I’ve been looking around at blogs for some great kid friendly Thanksgiving crafts to do.
Turkey Toilet Paper Roll Craft over at Inheriting Our Planet is just darling. J is definitely not up to the cutting such delicate feathers, but maybe with me cutting and his gluing we can get something that looks almost as nice.
With a little help, J and I can make some festive Pumpkin Napkin Rings as demonstrated at Baby Loving Mama.
A craft for the whole family is this awesome Thanksgiving Handprint Tree at Crafts by Amanda. I suspect P’s hand will be the largest on the paper. Even though I’m sure the older boys will find it a bit ‘hokey’, I want to make this up as well.
A great decorative piece which J can help me put together is this Thanksgiving Wreath with Paper Leaves showcased on Meaningful Mama.
Not what I consider a craft per se, but I just had to share the Family Thankfulness Jar idea over at The Realistic Mama. This is something the whole family can do and with extra mason jars in my garage it will be easy to implement. I’ll definitely share my own photo once I have it rolling.
Which of these crafts would you do with your kids?
