One of the ‘benefits’ of being a homeschool mom is that there are days where we never leave the house I don’t have to worry about my appearance. While that might be the case, I am finding more and more that I LIKE to look nice even if my family are the only ones seeing me on a given day. When it comes to makeup, I’m more of a natural kind of gal. However, I thought it would be fun to step out of my comfort zone a tiny bit and review a few products from Gleam by Melanie Mills.
About Gleam by Melanie Mills
Melanie Mills is one of Hollywood’s leading style-makers and beauty consultants, known for her glamorous flair, supreme talent, and vivacious personality. Her works as Makeup Department Head for Dancing with the Stars earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Makeup Design in 2008. Gleam Body Radiance was her first invention as she needed something to help even out blotchy tan jobs and give a wonderful glow to contestants’ skin. Gleam Lip Radiance glosses to liven up your lips and Radiant Dust as a blush, bronzer, highlighter, eye shadow, and all over the body have since been added to the product line up.
My Experience with Gleam by Melanie Mills
Living up in Alaska means that a natural ‘glow’ usually isn’t happening for my skin. So, I was curious to see how the combination of Gleam Body Radiance and Radiant Dust would work to give my skin a wonderful glow without looking awful. Overall, I am SUPER impressed with the product. Just a little dab works wonders! And, don’t panic when you first start to spread this moisturizing product on your face as it will gradually work into your skin to have a more uniform appearance. You can also top off with a little powder to get a more matte finish.
Gleam Body Radiance retails for $15 for one ounce and is available in 2 and 3.5 ounce sizes as well. I was sent this product in Rose Gold. While I have only used it on my face, I have read that you can use a little to help your legs glow with no need for pantyhose.
Gleam Lip Radiance retails for $24. I choose a lively red color named Unstoppable. As it stains your lips, the color will remain for quite a while.
Gleam Radiant Dust retails for $59. I selected Rose Gold Dust for my review.
Orders over $40 receive free shipping.
I am excited to continue using these products to help accentuate my good features. After years of going ‘natural’ most of the time, I really is fun to get dolled up!
