It’s been a crazy few weeks for me adjusting to working outside of the home on a temporary basis along with all the pre-school year prep. I was glad to have a reason to make time for Mass today as we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption.
I have several friends who do not understand Mary and what Catholics truly believe. But, I thought about many of them when our deacon gave the homily today. One of his key points is that when we look towards Mary we see her looking towards Jesus. So, Mary basically points us to Christ.
We ended Mass with Hail, Holy Queen a bit out of tune with no one leading the singing.
Some might find it a bit irreverent, but I love the arrangement from Sister Act and just had to quickly share it before heading out the door for the big event I’ve been working on in my new job.
