Over the past few years, I have shared a review of the HUGE Schoolhouse planner (2008-2009 version, 2009-2010 version, and the 2010-2011 version) as well as the Intermediate and High School student planners. These are great resources for any homeschooler with so many options of pages to select for a truly customized planner in your home. Plus, there are a few fantastic articles written for each planner’s target audience.
If you are a member of Schoolhouse Teachers, then you have access to ALL of the planners for free. (Honestly, the subscription option for Schoolhouse Teacher is phenomenal and you can test hop it for one month, too. It is just $3 for the first month, $12.95 per month thereafter. You gain access to the Planners immediately upon joining ST.com) If not, you can purchase just the planner you need.
Schoolhouse Planner $39
Special Needs Student Planner $29
Primary Student Planner $9.95
Intermediate Student Planner $19
High School Student Planner $29
What do I love about the Schoolhouse Planners?
First and foremost is the ability to pick and choose what you want. I only need to print the pages I love and those can be customized by typing in text before printing. With a recent purchase of a ProClick binding system, I can opt to have a more ‘professional’ looking planner OR use a 3 ring binder. The main Schoolhouse Planner has the calendar pages separate from the rest of the planner pages which makes it easier for me to layout for printing double sided. I can do single or double page layouts for the month or even customize my own calendar!
The student pages provide the opportunity to get the boys on board with accountability and I’ll be pulling together small, bound planners for them over this month. After all, busy moms can not be expected to remember the ‘must do’s’ for everyone else in the house. I also love some of the quick fact sheets that are included in each grade level.
