As J is now 3, it has been a little while since I had to go shopping for baby items for our household. But, my sister just had her little guy this past year which means this auntie can go window shopping for items before checking with my sister about what he truly needs.
Here’s a little mantra for new parents:
Making the best nest starts with giving your wallet a rest.
But the list never ends, right? It seems that preparing psychically, mentally and emotionally aren’t the only things you need to worry about when it comes to expecting a baby these days. Having a little one calls for some big decisions like choosing the best pediatrician and making a birth plan. The last thing weighing on your mind should be the status of your bank account.
That’s why the Sears ‘All Things Baby’ sale was practically made for you. Similar to the effects of prenatal yoga, saving money on baby essentials can be a huge relief. Now get back to concentrating on the important things like what color you’ll be painting the nursery.
I took a few minutes to ‘window shop’ on my computer and am blown away by the options and pricing. You can easily find key equipment (stroller, high chair, etc.) to coordinate in such cute options for boys or girls.
I know where I’ll be headed if we end up with a new little one in our own house (as many of our items have ‘aged out’ or been donated already.)
And, for my nephew, I found some really cute sleepers that would keep him warm without too many layers.
If by chance you forget something on your list, just follow this advice from real parents: Improvisation is OK!
What items did YOU purchase when awaiting your new bundle of joy?
