  1. I don’t really have a favorite curriculum provider. We use a little of this and a little of that and get more eclectic as we go along. I do really like Systematic Mathematics (www.systemath.com) for math, though. It is the one thing I have used consistently over the years.

    • Christine,

I haven’t seen Systematic Mathematics, but will have to check them out. I’m rather eclectic, too, and have to fight the urge to constantly change what we are doing. Maybe that’s because I know it’s better to tweak to fit the family than to be cookie cutter.

      • Laura,
It is not a spiral program like most math programs are these days. My kids still don’t like math, but they understand it. My daughter used this program and is now taking Geometry at the public high school she attends and doing really well. It is a decent value, too, since it is non-consumable. It is DVDs and CDs. You print out the worksheets you need and watch the DVDs. You can print out a lesson again if they don’t do well on it. I understand math so much better now from watching along with the kids!
