One of the tasks I’m tackling with the new year is going through our ‘stuff’ and purging what we no longer need. As much as I’d love to keep all the books that enter my life, I periodically clear those out as well.

So…. as part of the January Clear Your Shelf Giveaway, one of my lucky readers will win their pick of THREE titles from my book box. Some of these books are hard to part with as the stories are fabulous. But, there’s only so much room in the house ![]()
Books are linked to my review, with the exception of Petite Anglaise which I did not review and link to Amazon for a description.
MissioLife, a small group resource
Reaper Two-Six Year 5: The Rise of Global Insurgency
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Family Caregivers
Firethorn, Discarded Heroes #4
Entries are through the Giveaway Tools form below. Open to US mailing addresses, only. The Giveaway Tools form will close on January 10th in the evening.
Good luck!

Laura O from AK recently posted..Celebrating Epiphany as a Family
I like to read anything and will read anything. My favorites are probably fantasy, fairy tale remixes, horror, crazy strange distorted stuff, and more with my least favorte being romance (although I do still read romance because it has words and if it has words I read it).
Shelly,
What’s an example of crazy strange distorted stuff? Life of Pi is a book that I read for a book club that I thought was rather strange and very hard to ‘get into’ until I reached about 2/3 of the way through the book.

YA is my favorite!
I was amazed for a while at how many great books are YA. Now, I’m more likely to read YA than a straight ‘adult’ book when combing the stacks at the library.

Christian fiction is my favorite!!
Amy,
Until I started reviewing books for the blog, I’d hardly read Christian fiction beyond Janet Oke’s books. Love how many great options there are in that genre now.
Laura O from AK recently posted..Celebrating Epiphany as a Family
It depends on the mood I am in, sometimes I go for a cheesy romance, but mostly what I love to read is historical fiction. Thanks for the chance!
Carmen,
I have some authors who write what I call ‘brain candy’ … stuff that’s lots of fluff and quick to read for entertainment. Cheesy romances definitely fit into that category for me.
And, you are welcome for the chance.
Laura

I really love historical fiction, but I like to mix up my reading..rotate through fiction, biography, humor and self help.
Kelli,
I tend to mix it up, too. Otherwise, I ‘overdose’ and don’t want to read a particular genre for quite a while.

Well, I’ll read pretty much anything (historical, romance, horror, sci-fi, thriller, mystery, etc) but my favorite genres are young adult and fantasy. I too cycle through because I recognize the patterns and tropes so much, it gets annoying if I stick to reading one kind.
Since you just started enjoying dystopians more and more, I can recommend Project ELE by Rebecca Gober and Courtney Nuckels. It’s a young adult sci-fi dystopian. I loved it.
Brooke Banks recently posted..ARC Review: Fever by Mary Beth Keane
I’ll have to look up Project ELE sometime soon as it’s been a while since I read from the dystopian genre. Throwing in that it’s YA and sci-fi makes it all that more appealing. Thanks for the suggestion, Brooke!
