Reusable Plastic Multi Purpose Storage Box

Finding ways to store all the ‘stuff’ in our life can be a challenge.  I have the collection of plastic totes, but the rounded edges sometimes makes it a challenge to stack neatly.  And cardboard boxes are susceptible to getting wet and leading to a box of items that becomes worthless if something happened with water.

Our family was sent 2 different sizes of Reusable Plastic Multi Purpose Storage Boxes from Packaways to review.

These boxes arrive flat and can be stored that way when not in use.  Reusable Plastic Multi Purpose Storage Box Flat for Storage

Putting them together was simple to do.  The boxes have handles and a spot to mark the contents along the side.Reusable Plastic Multi Purpose Storage Box Assembled

Right now, I am using these to hold clothes for sorting which the boys have outgrown and either need long term storage or purging.  The boys tend to outgrow things all the time, so for now it is the perfect use of the boxes.

These are a great solution for harsh storage conditions or long-term storage since moisture and humidity won’t effect the integrity of the boxes.  Under normal circumstances, they should last for hundreds of cycles.  Somehow, I suspect my boys could generate unusual circumstances that would cause damage.  But, if they are in use for storing items and stacked neatly out of their path, then I can see having many years of use ahead of us.

The classic Packaways (which is what we were sent) range in price from $8.75 to $10.10 depending upon size and color.  Considering a certain brand of plastic tote up here goes for around $12 a piece, this is a much better deal for us.  Other options are an under the bed box and open totes.

You can find Packaways on Facebook, too.

This looks like a really good and affordable alternative to the plastic totes you see in stores all the time. I used to use cardboard boxes for storage, until I learned the hard way that they don’t protect against water damage. We had a minor flood in our basement, but it did a ton of damage to all the stuff that was on the floor.
