Enhancing your Natural Beauty with Beeyoutiful Mineral Makeup

The life of a homeschool mother is not typically glamorous.  Rather, I find most days I’m wearing my own ‘uniform’ of jeans or another comfy pair of pants plus a top that matches the season’s weather.  Between the casual attire and having four boys in the house that don’t care how mom looks, I have not taken the time to do finishing touches like make-up on a daily basis.

That may be changing after using Beeyoutiful’s new mineral make up line.

A few years ago, I  had the opportunity to review two products from Beeyoutiful’s skin care line in the past and absolutely loved the way it made my skin feel.  Knowing how much I liked those particular products had me eager to try out their new mineral make-up product line.

Beeyoutiful Mineral Makeup BundleI was sent a beautifully bundled set of products that included:

  • Foundation ( $25 for 4.1 g)
  • Foundation Brush ($11)
  • Eye/Lip Color ($10 for 0.45 g)
  • Multi-Purpose Brush ($6.50)
  • a small sample of a second Eye/Lip Color
  • DVD (not pictured)

While I have dabbled with some mineral makeup in the past, I have to say that the DVD included showing how to use the different products really helped me to see how to best utilize Beeyoutiful’s products.  Unlike some of the make up options out there, these products do not have any kind of fillers or binders in them.  I know that the frugal minded side of me really does not want to needlessly waste a quality product.  So, the video segments really helped me get started.

One of the features I love about the different make up is that you can easily adjust how light or heavy of coverage you want.  Since I do not wear makeup on a daily basis, I know that I feel most comfortable with a light coverage that just helps to enhance the face God gave me.

  • Here I am ready for a dinner out with hubby wearing the foundation in Tori, a bit of chocolate plum on my eyelids, and a hint of raspberry shimmer on my cheeks and lips. (I tried to do a before photo, but am a big fail on self-portraits and looked like a fishbowl effect.)

Light Application of Beeyoutiful Mineral Makeup

That approach seems to be paying off.  The times I’ve gone to church or out in the community with my Beeyoutiful makeup on have seen compliments about how good I look.  I love that I don’t have an excessive amount of product on my skin or that what is there has chemicals which could cause reactions.   No more multicolored facecloths after washing off my makeup in the evening, either.

While reading through the Beeyoutiful Mineral Makeup website, I noticed that they have some wonderful bundles of products to give you a complete look.

Although you can see the colors on the screen and choose that way, I’d definitely recommend ordering samples of the ones you think will be the best fit to test it out.  For this review, we were sent 3 samples of our choice for foundation colors and that process helped me narrow down which one would work best for my skin right now.

Between my desire to clear the clutter in the house (which includes older makeup or colors that just don’t work) and the way this makeup has me feeling, I suspect a few of the items will be on my Christmas wishlist this year.
