True confession time here…. I tend to wear make-up on Sundays and for special occasions rather than everyday. This is partly due to being home around boys all day that just don’t care about mom’s appearance. But, another part of the reason why I’ve been more of an occasional wearer of make-up is that I don’t always like taking it off. Oh, I don’t mind getting my face clean. It’s more that I don’t like the transfer of the make-up onto my facecloths as they tend to look a bit stained after a while. And, in the spirit of honesty, there are days when I’m so tired I fall onto the bed forgetting a full night time routine.
That might be changing soon between wanting to look my best with my new physique and having tried Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes.
The boys and I recently went to the ‘big’ Sam’s Club to pick up items we needed as well as the makeup remover wipes. So many items can be expensive at the regular grocery store, hence Sam’s Club is a go to place for us with an at minimum bi-monthly schedule.
Typically, we meander around electronics and then head through the frozen and fresh food sections. However, with the need to pick up health and beauty items, I decided we’d better get those off my checklist first. I only had to go down 2 aisles before finding what I sought. With 100 wipes in each box, the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are reasonably priced at Sam’s Club making it a #HealthyValue.
I had wanted to check out the new Band-Aid QuiltVent products as I’d heard Sam’s was going to carry them. We go through a lot of bandages and buying in bulk at Sam’s is the way to go for our family. Taking off a bandage is a chore in itself when they want to cling to tender skin. Hence, the desire for the new QuiltVent bandages that do not hurt when removed. After searching all the possible aisles, I couldn’t find them anywhere in the store. My best guess is that Alaska gets shipped some products after the rest of the country has them on the shelf. Maybe a future trip will have me finding them.
The boys could then enjoy their favorite past time at the warehouse clubs, the sample hunt! That way I could finish my shopping while they snacked their way through the store.
Opening the box of Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes at home, I was pleased to find the smaller packages with an opening that can be re-sealed to keep the wipes moist. The sizing is perfect for a decent make-up bag. I’m thinking a package of these will be in my gym bag for cleaning my face after a hard workout, too.
Using the wipe was simple and they are generously sized to allow for all make-up to be easily removed. The wipe felt wonderful against my skin and did not have an overpowering fragrance that some beauty products have. Plus, my skin felt silky smooth when I was done.
As I was wearing a more minimal amount of make-up (mostly mineral, too), I was pleased to see only a modest amount of residue on the used wipe. I suspect a traditional base plus mascara and a dark lipstick would cover more of the wipe.
