Someone please tell me my boys are NOT the only ones who engage in backyard battles anytime they are able!

The photo collage I made (from ‘scratch’) was done using My Memories Software. If it’s something you want to order, use the code STMMMS22922 to get $10 off your purchase and $10 toward a later purchase in their store.

My hubby wants some of those nerf swords
Looks like so much fun!
I love imaginary play time
Laura I have photos of my (now grown) sons playing swords in our backyard. They graduated from plastic to carving their own own out of saplings (you learn to parry really quick when the swords are wood!). Last year I gave my 24 year old son two nerf swords for Christmas. It was his favorite gift of the year! That video of his face opening the present is priceless. You would have thought he was 10 again!
You have to show your boys the old BBC Ivanhoe! The fighting scenes are inspiring (oh — wait! maybe too inspiring!)
Diane,
Thanks for the film suggestion. My teen still loves to join his brothers for a Nerf Sword battle. At least those aren’t as painful as the PVC pipe ones they used to have back in Ohio. Even with foam insulation over them, they could hurt!
Looks like my backyard! Our boys would have so much fun together- I wish we could come over and play.
I am going to have to look up that Ivanhoe video mentioned in the comments.
Well, if you are ever up in Alaska, let me know! My boys love to play with other boys as the battles sometimes turn more personal with brothers.
The Ivanhoe movie is in color — Anthony Andrews and Sam Neil.

Thanks, Diane!
Great idea, I will get those Nurf Sords for my kids next summer.
