In our house, July is camp season. Every week a different boy is off to either Cub Scout or Boy Scout camping. And, one necessity when prepping for summer camp that can take a little time is labeling all of their clothing and gear. After all, the boys get so wrapped up in the fun of camp that they often can’t remember leaving behind a sweatshirt or other item behind. All those losses can add up and really hurt a budget.
Thanks to Oliver’s Labels, this chore is getting a bit easier in our house. Not only do I not have to hand write on every tag of their clothing and find creative ways to label some of the gear, I can get the boys involved in the process.
Oliver’s Labels has an awesome Camp Package that is enough to cover a child and possibly leave a few to spare.
As we have 2 boys that needed me to help label items, I went with a very generic choice of wording by putting our family name on the tags. They also gave us the option to have a special code on the labels (called the Found-it™ tracking system) so if something is lost and then found, the finder can report it through Oliver’s Labels without you needing to have put other contact information (e.g. a phone number) on the label.

The large bag tags are perfect for the backpack or duffle bag so there’s no confusion over who’s it is if they are sharing a tent with someone with the same pack. The shoe labels help alleviate that dreaded ‘how do I tag this in a way that won’t come off’ dilemma I’ve faced in the past. And, while I could write on clothing labels, having a label I can quickly stick onto that tag makes it go a LOT quicker. There are even iron on labels for clothes that do not have a tag.
All of them are made with vinyl which makes them waterproof and durable. How cool is that?
Here’s the specifics of what is in the Camp Package:
There are several options for the backgrounds. My boys went with the camo collection (no great surprise there!) and even my teen wouldn’t balk about the labels going onto some of his stuff.
Oliver’s Labels Camp Package retails for $58.99 with shipping included. I will say that the time from order to receipt was very quick, just a matter of a few days. Considering how many items take weeks to reach Alaska, I was quite impressed. No one going to camp in your family right now? Check out their packages for preschool and school, too.
