While part of me likes living my life by the seat of my pants, I know that a calendar and a list can be my friend so things do not slip through the cracks as easily.
I’ve been doing a combination of listing upcoming reviews and giveaways on the blog with due dates if they have them as well as putting them in my lovely print calendar. But, other parts of managing the blog were getting ignored.
Enter another blogging mini-challenge to the rescue (I hope!): Making a Blog Notebook @ A Jewel in the Making.
She shared her Google document of pages to create a blogging notebook to help keep track of not only upcoming posts, but fun things like statistics for the week, payments or value of review items, and any group events you are participating in.
The group events is something I could really use as a few I’ve done had information posted ONLY on a Facebook group. I have way more Facebook groups than I know what to do with some days, so that is a ‘job’ that can easily fall through the cracks without some form of reminder.
Between the pages shared for this mini-challenge and others I’ve gathered over time, I am now putting together my own blogging notebook to take charge of the work to be done and maybe even keep myself from overextending in the future.
Here’s a photo I snapped of one sheet partially filled in for this week.

This post is part of my participation in the Biannual Blogathon happening June 22 – 25, 2012.

I love the way that page is outlined. I absolutely need my notebook pages to read like that. I will be working on that really soon. Great post.
Glad it inspired, Elizabeth.
Ohhh – this sounds great – I need to do something like this… wonder if it is too late to join in the fun??
Wendi,
The mini-challenge posts should still be up. It’s the actual blogathon with prizes that’s done until January.
This is a great idea! I need something a little more outlined than I am using now. My current to-do list seems to get buried.
I think if I had something pretty that I could hang on the fridge, maybe I would stick with it. haha!
Pretty only gets me so far, Amanda. I just need to keep it in ONE place and check it frequently.
