Wednesday marked the start of week 2 in the 21 Day Weight Loss Challenge featured Dustin Maher’s Fit Moms for Life at the core. Yet again, I didn’t get my update posted when I wanted as life intervened. I’m going to do a condensed update as too much computer time is a problem at the moment.
I fit in exercise every day with the exception of Sunday. I planned to do Dustin’s workout on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and then do Wii Fit Plus on the other days. And, it worked out well for the first week. I even opened up an accesory kit for the Wii Fit Plus that allows me to have a bigger step up on the board. I can honestly say that makes a huge difference in the amount of effort required.
Diet wise, I continued to watch what I ate. I still have had a cup of decaf coffee most days, with the exception of Tuesday night when I was splurging on a small mocha and forgot to ask for decaf when specifying skim milk and no whip cream. That night also had me eating out with the boys at Carl’s Jr. Many of their burgers are up there for calories (around 1000 per burger), but they do have a few turkey burger options that come in right under 500 calories. So, I did just the sandwich with a few fries taken from the boys and lots of water.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I stepped on the scale Wednesday morning. I was pleasantly surprised to see it go down by 3 pounds! I hope I can keep it up and maybe reach my goal of losing 5 pounds this month. It will be a challenge as Thursday morning brought an injury and diagnosis of a few infections I had no clue were brewing. So, I’m not able to do the exercise at the moment.
