With all the reviews I’ve been writing, I sometimes feel like I neglect the family posts here. So, I’m going to share from a somewhat recent adventure.
Mr. O had caught wind of salmon snagging in Seward and thought we’d head down for the day. After the 3 hour or so drive we ate our lunch at a city park along Resurrection Bay. It was a bit cooler than I thought it and I had not packed sweatshirts for the younger boys and I. Once he learned that the only access to a good fishing spot had paid parking (something that is proving to be somewhat common place up here), we decided fishing was not going to happen.
So, we took a short drive over to Exit Glacier just outside of Seward.
As we did not prepare for hiking, we made just the short trek to a viewing spot of the glacier.
Now the boys want to go back in the future and hike up the other trails.
The photos above were with my cell phone camera and not the best clarity. So, I know that I want to head back just to get some better photos. But, Mr. O did pull out his fancy DSLR camera to snap a photo of the Glacier from a viewing point along the drive to the park’s parking lot.
