A few weeks back, the boys and I boarded the red eye flight from Anchorage on our way to the airport in New Orleans.
A goof up in our reservation had us waiting in line 45 minutes to get checked in. That was 45 minutes after we reached the ‘counter.’ While we had seats on the plane, they were not the seats I’d spent an hour on the phone reserving. The boys were not all assigned seats in arm’s reach, although I did manage to get people to switch seats so we could be clustered together. And, having to change seats on the first plane when it landed in Seattle was NOT my preference as it meant waking up sleeping little ones to move.
Little J decided that P’s empty cup was a great toy!
The flight from Houston to New Orleans was on a plane outfitted with Direct TV in the headrests. The boys enjoyed watching while we were waiting to take off. Thankfully, they all understood why Mom would not spend $6 per person to watch TV for an hour flight. Great concept, but a bit pricey for families…
Walking off the terminal at New Orleans…..
If you are reading this ON Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Sunday (Central time), then we are on route back to Alaska. I see a bunch of tired people come Sunday morning. Then it’s getting back into our school routines. And, I can start doing more posts about our trip and everyday life!
